Birth Doula
Doula support, while being incredibly individualistic, is often rooted in providing birthing folks the basics of care in regards to emotional, physical, and informational support during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
I offer one free consult to see if we are a good match for one another. Once our relationship is established, we will dive deeper into how we can work collaboratively to meet your needs (during this huge life change) as authentically as I can.

birth story medicine
Birth story medicine is a way to process and heal an unresolved moment from a birth experience. This could be something weighing on you about your birth, or something that just doesn't feel or sit right with you about your experience. The birth as a whole could have been amazing, except this one part, or perhaps the whole experience was negative overall. This offering allows you time and space to share your truth without judgement. You’ll receive support to overcome whatever is weighing on you to illuminate and overcome those unresolved feelings.
frequently asked questions
-
A doula does nothing medical. I'm with you during your labor and am there to support you, no one else. A midwife does the medical side of birth, though can often also step into the role of doula and support you emotionally as well.
-
Because each birth is different! And even if all your births are smooth and text book, it still feels good to have someone to talk with prenatally and who can hold space and normalize birth while you're giving birth. Also, partners can be very reassured by having a doula because:
-They aren’t solely reliable for supporting you
They should be able to experience this birth the way they need to, not how they have to.
